Tax Assistant (F/M)

As a tax consultancy practice with a growth-oriented focus, we are seeking a personage who complements our team optimally both professionally and personally and who is able to commence at the earliest possible date:

Tax Assistant (F/M)

Your Tasks:

  • Work in our comprehensive, integrated taxation advice and consultation service
  • Prepare tax returns and annual financial statements for mid-sized undertakings in all legal forms, as well as for private persons
  • Prepare, supervise and control ongoing accounting records when balancing the accounts, as well as when determining the revenue and profit, including the preparation of the advance sales (value-added) tax returns
  • Check tax assessments and conduct any appeals
  • Provide support during government tax audits
  • Assist with taxation and business-related questions and issues
  • Primary contact person for clients

As a tax assistant (f/m), you support our experienced tax consultants. Doing so, from the very beginning you assume responsibility in your team for your own projects and clients. In our supportive and appreciative work atmosphere, you learn and deepen your specialist knowledge and thus acquire the qualifications and know-how required for the examination to become a tax consultant. Moreover, you also have the opportunity to gain experience in the field of auditing in our affiliated Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft Wedding & Cie. auditing company.

Your Profile:

  • You have successfully completed third-level studies in business management, economics, commercial law or another applicable study direction with relevant focal areas.
  • Initial professional experience in a traineeship position and/or completed training to become an assistant tax consultant (f/m), as well as fundamental knowledge of national and international tax law are advantageous.
  • You have good knowledge of the DATEV system capable of being expanded, and you are proficient in the usual MS Office programs (especially Excel).
  • You have a good command of English both written and spoken, you think analytically and work in a structured manner.
  • In addition to a strong team spirit, flexibility, discretion and a high level of commitment to work are self-evident for you.
  • Your communication strengths and outgoing personality convince during meetings and discussions.

Tax Specialist (F/M) or Assistant Tax Consultant

Your Tasks:

  • Extensive independent service and support of the client base you assume in all tax-related questions and issues
  • Prepare tax returns of medium to high complexity levels
  • Complete annual financial statements of companies and corporate groups with differing sizes and legal forms
  • Prepare net income statements
  • Check monthly business assessments
  • Prepare IAS/US-GAAP reports
  • Complete complex and demanding financial accounting assignments
  • Assist during government tax audits
  • Support and contribute in the context of annual financial statement audits
  • Communicate with clients, revenue authorities and other governmental bodies

Moreover, it is a pleasure for you to provide creative, well-considered consulting and advice, and you can familiarise yourself in a new legal field with ease. Likewise, you enjoy servicing and supporting clients with foreign elements and dimensions, and you have acquired the language skills required to do so. Your Profile:

  • You have successfully completed training to become an assistant tax consultant or advanced training/further education to become a tax specialist (f/m) or an accountant (f/m), and you can demonstrate relevant professional experience in the field of tax consulting
  • You have excellent knowledge of the taxation system, as well as DATEV experience
  • You have a committed, reliable and systematic working method and approach
  • You act in an independent manner and are able to work in teams
  • Your distinguishing traits include communitive competencies, flexibility, loyalty and commitment
  • You have a good command of English

Audit Assistant (F/M)

As an auditing practice with a growth-oriented focus, we are seeking a personage who complements our team optimally both professionally and personally and who is able to commence at the earliest possible date:

Audit Assistant (F/M)

Your Tasks:

  • Support and assist on statutory and voluntary audits of stock corporations and limited liability companies in all sectors with a focus on financial services providers
  • Audit annual, interim and consolidated financial statements as per the German Commercial Code (HGB) and IFRS
  • Prepare annual and consolidated financial statements, as well as consolidations of companies
  • Independently process and manage complex auditing areas: Prepare audit working papers under the aspects of quality assurance, audit execution and reporting
  • Provide assistance in projects (due diligences, corporate valuations)
  • Provide assistance on taxation and business management questions and issues

  • Third-level studies completed in an economic subject (including business management, economics, M.Sc./BA) focusing on auditing and/or taxation
  • Ideally already completed training to become an assistant tax consultant (f/m) or qualified banker (f/m), or
  • Relevant traineeships or initial professional experience (1 to 2 years) in the auditing or tax consulting fields (financial accounting, preparation of annual financial statements, tax returns)
  • Analytical intellectual skills and good understanding of numbers
  • Quick powers of comprehension, proactive thinking and capable of acting independently
  • Independent, conscientious and systematic working approach, as well as decisiveness
  • Capable of working under pressure and with flexibility
  • Able to work in teams
  • Confident and serious external appearance and impression, as well as communication competencies
  • Excellent knowledge of English and MS Office
